Terms & Conditions

All livestock must be paid for by bank direct credit in advance of removal from our property, in accordance with the price quoted at the negotiation of sale. Proof of payment will be required. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

We make every effort to provide you with premium quality livestock, both in terms of their genetic potential and their health and condition at time of sale. Please be aware that we are dealing with live animals and whilst every care is taken to provide you with fertile stud stock, this cannot be guaranteed.

All livestock are sold “as seen”, no correspondence will be entered into, exchanges made, or refunds given for livestock purchased once removed from our property, unless exceptions are discussed at the time of sale and noted on the bill of sale. Exceptions are only usually made in the case of a known potential problem which is discussed with the purchaser at the time of sale.

We cannot hold animals on our property for the purchaser once sale is agreed and paid for as we do not have the space. We expect you to collect or arrange for transport on the day of sale or within one week if agreed in advance.

Livestock collected by the purchaser or their agents must be carried in a suitable trailer or livestock truck. Trailers must be covered with a secure tarpaulin to provide the animals with adequate shelter from the elements during their journey, as well as a wind shield at the front. We will not release animals to be carried inside vehicles, or other unsuitable means of carriage, and we reserve the right to refuse release if in any doubt.

We can help and advise clients in finding suitable livestock trucking agents and a list of potential carriers is given below for the Auckland region, and beyond. You may well have your own local trucking agents that you like to use or who can work in with a national carrier. Getting Livestock to the lower north island or to the south island is possible using inter-island carriers, but does involve transfer to a local carrier at a drop-off point near you and onward trucking to your poroperty. Alternatively you can pick-up from the transfer point. It does sometimes take a while to organise, dependant on the schedule of the trucking company, so patience will be required. We take no responsibility for livestock injuries or other issues once they leave our property, so we do advise that you take this up directly with the carrier.

Regretfully, we cannot normally provide stud services for our clients since our business is to sell stud males. Neither can we provide an exchange service for rams since it is not possible to integrate rams back into the bachelor mobs due to the intense competition between males.
